this is going to seem like a very basic question to many of you but how can i add a password to an access database ?
i have only recently started using access and i'm wondering how i can my databases more secure.

tis in tools-set security.
Don't forget it, Access passwords are very hard to break...

Use a real DB, SQLServer, Oracle, DB2, mySQL...
Access passwords are very hard to break
MS security (oxymoron) has very poor record (OS/Apps/Email!).
I haven't tried circumventing Access security, but, maybe like Word/Excel security... See:

Generally with Access databases if you load them into a newer version of the program they don't even ask for the password. It's not that great anyway.
