Confused Newbie Struggling With Gigabyte SINXP 1394 M/B. Can anyone Help?

JUst started constructing PC for the first time and have drawn a blank in the configuration of IDE devices. I want to attach one IDE HDD, one CD ROM/W/WR, one DVD ROM. Should I select the DVD and CD RW as master and slave on th esecond IDE channel or can I convert the IDE channels 3 and 4 to take non RAID devices. Also As I have Two devices that require an analogue audio out, do I plug one into the CD audio socket on the M/B and the other into Aux?

connect the CD-rom/DVD-rom to the secondary master also make the CDrw as your secondary slave or vice versa. primary master for your HDD and use the ATA 100/133 cable(80 pins) and the 40 pins to the CD drives. connect the AUDIO cable to the cdin of the MoBo. as long as the audio cable fit but do not connect it to spd_out.:)
