How do I determine what sound drivers to use on a Pentium 3 Supermarket PC without any identification. It has a onboard sound system. I did look on the motherboard but coud not see anything that reminds me of sound. I saw a number - MS-6340 Ver 1 on the board but do not know what to do with it.

You need to find out what motherboard you have. Try either Aida32 (http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php) or CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php).

MS-6340?

That's an MSI board. When I look on their website it says that board is an Athlon board but you say it's a P3 machine.
