Can I make MP3 from old vinyl LP?

Is there a way I can make MP3's from my old vinyl LP's? I have a WinTV card, which as stereo audio input, video input, and cable tv input.

I would like to eventually burn some of my old albums to CD

get a rca to headphone, plug it into the mic. in record it as a .wav, rip it to a mp3, if you get record volumes correct it will sound fine
