Ok the sound file didn't work.

Here is HKEY_CURRENT_USER:

(Default) REG_SZ YES

Current Directory REG_SZ C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Pictures\

WebAware REG_SZ YES

Tried Deleting all three but it didn't work and windows recreated the entry. This REALLY sounds like my problem. The only exception is the for some reason the SYSTEM speaker (the little one in the case) is making a beep. I have never heard this beep for ANYTHING windows related. Maybe it is a different problem....

More advice?

If it's just Office sounds, update those from the link I gave you. Update your sound card drivers too.

File @ link didn't work. Drivers are good. The problem link at MS is corrent but I am having trouble finding what to change in reg registry.

Fixed it. Gee only 4 d4mn hours!!! Apparently HKEY_CURRENT_USER (default) key had a wrong VALUE in the key. The value was set to YES and should have been set to nothing or VALUE NOT SET. GEESH what a nightmare. Ok all is well now. Hope I didn't fuxor anything else up.
