DVNT1 05-30-2001, 08:20 PM PPPoE is Point-to-Point protocol encapsulated over Ethernet. Also see http://www.freesoft.org/CIE/RFC/Orig/rfc2516.txt PPPoA *might be* Point-to-Point protocol over analog lines (like many dial-up Internet connections) or maybe over ATM (see http://www.freesoft.org/CIE/RFC/Orig/rfc2364.txt ) captpete 05-31-2001, 07:47 PM OK, I have PPPoA. I read that PPPoE is faster. If so, I have a NIC, so what would I have to do to utilize PPPoE? scotter 05-31-2001, 08:36 PM you need to check with you internet service provider and make sure they support PPPoE first and if they do what version/PPPoE program they do support SysOpt.com
