My ADSL is mostly very fast, but sometimes when I click a connection, nothing happens for 15-20 seconds. What causes this?

you running internet 300 PPPoE ? if so thats the couse and if you find a cure I'd like to know I fixed mine buy getting a cable DSL router linksys bfsr11 does and the PPPoE stuff internaly so I dont have to load the intercrap 300 suckware.

there are a few other PPPoE programs that are suposed to work better check over in the FAQ at www.DSLREPORTS.com (http://www.DSLREPORTS.com) they have a lot of answers to these kinds of problems.

I am using PPPoA. Since my last post, I have downloaded the latest Alcatel upgrade, so maybe that will help.

Still getting long pauses for some sites. Any ideas?
