I'm looking at going wirless with my notebook, buy a WAP and card. I'm seeing wi-fi, bluetooh. I've heard the standard is 802.11b, but now I'm seeing 2g or sorts.

Can some explain this in more layman terms. I just want to be mobile with my notebook here at home and elsewhere. What's the best route to take, any suggestions.

Thx,

Reef :)

don't bother with bluetooth. go with either 802.11b or g. g is still in the "draft" stage, but b has been around for a while. g is backwards compatible to b, so you might want to just get a g access point and card.

I've hear the same thing, don't go with blue tooth, so I'm going with 802.11b. Thx
