Hey guys! :t

I'm having a crisis. I'm into MMORPG's, however, I'm slow minded when it comes to news and information. Does anyone know of any MMORPG's that are in beta testing that do not require an "Application" or a credit card to beta test? Kinda like Earth and beyond was or Anarchy online was for awhile?

I'm getting tired of waitng for galaxies to come out, and filling in applications that I never hear back from.

Also (Sorry, I know...toomany questions! lol ) Also, when filling in an application, and they are asking "Are you a game developer, are you a member of the media, do you work for a gaming company?" and so on.. I have a feeling that these questions are a big part of whether I get choosen or not. Does anyone know how to Sweeten up an application? I usually blow the system requirments outta the sea, and I have long lists of mmorpg's i've played. Those questions are all the gets me (And what do they want to hear in the comments box when they ask "Tell us why you think you would be good to beta test for us?")

Any ideas? Thanks again
:D

Yes, I have played it, but not for too long. I didn't find I got the right feel for the game. Maybe I didn't play it long enough, who knows. I just felt like it wasn't smooth enough, that the makers could have improved on so many things. I may try again though.

Until recently I was playing:

Anarchy Online
Earth and Beyond
Ragnarok Online (iRO)

I used to play more, but I can only focus on so many at a time now (Getting too old :P 21) lol. Actually I think graphics mean alot to me, but only when it comes to an MMORPG. Because in an MMORPG i find that the better the graphics, the more I feel like I'm a part of a different world with so many other people. And thats the whole point of an MMORPG isn't it?

hmm it is not the maker's fault. why it slow because you didnt use knight class or elf. Perhaps u pick a Mage that why it slow. If u use Knight and use Haste potion + Bravery wow you can get super fast like hell.

you should try it. But did you know Lineage II is comming out soon www.lineage2.com

Well, I was about to say the same thing, go to mpogd.com to check out which ones are out or type in something like MMORPG open beta on google. That should do it.

Most of the open betas though are not as good as the ones you have to sign up for. I've played loads of them.

Best current RPG on the market is Shadowbane.

Lineage and Ragnorak Online aren't worth playing(I think they are both Korean so you know what I mean).

About the beta test apps. The following is taken from a Q&A with the people working on World of Warcraft.

How do I increase my chances of being accepted into the Beta?

First, let me say that the Beta is a serious test. If your intent isn't to find bugs and other problems with the game, don't make a big deal about getting in first. The most important thing for the Beta test is that actual Beta testers are accepted into the Beta. If you get in and all you do is fool around, you'll only make the game worse by not helping out.

But, if it is your intent to test and want to increase your odds, there's not much you can do. Above all, however, don't lie on the application. If you didn't Beta test EverQuest, don't say you did. If you're not a game developer or a member of the media, again, you don't want to say that you are. If you're entirely honest on your application, you stand the best chance of being accepted into the Beta. If you lie, you could very well end up completely eliminating yourself from the Beta.
