I thought with all my security issues when trying to log onto either Yahoo,MSN Hotmail or a few different forums and it saying that cookies were not accepted and I had a problem that by reformatting and reinstalling windows 98se that it would solve my problem.WRONG! I updated to IE 5.50.4522.1800 with128 strength and it is doing it again when I try to go to these sites. ANYONE PLEASE!!!!! This was working fine with netscape and my passwords were accepted but I want my IE instead and no Netscape is not installed at this moment.
u might have cookies turned off under IE and not under netscape. thats the way i believe they send u ur mail so u have to enable it. i dunno where to check for it, it may be under the settings for IE or for Temporary Internet Files just paly around with those settings and it should work.
hope this helps

Jak I've been under internet options and all are turned on. I even went to pc pitstop and had all the tests done and all is well. This was going on for about 2 weeks straight before I actually went and did a clean install after reformatting. It is really weird and when I go for email it's telling me that the certificate for the security on that site has lapsed so I have no idea whatsoever. It all works fine on my other machine that the lil lady uses but mine is being a pain. BD
r u using a firewall? or are u hooked up to a gateway?

ROTFLOL sorry I haven't bothered with the ICQ for awhile but msn I'm bigdadday and by the way I'm from Brook Park by the airport.
OK time is running short here so will just ask the 2 of you to tell me what to look for in the bios as I tried it and changed the date from 2020 to 2001 but that didn't help at all. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif
Will hopefully get back on this tomorrow as work has been a pain with memorial day and all the orders etc etc etc.
Thnx for the time and help as you both have helped and am willing to try the next suggestions. BD l8r

Just wanted to not only thank all for the help but thought I'd share what the problem was. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
Turns out when I was looking in control panel I looked in the time/date area and saw that my puter was set for 2049. Now I don't have the slightest idea how it got like that after 2 reformats but I set it back to 2001 and all my places I wanted to go worked. Figure it huh!
