Usb is a bandwith hog, ps2 doesn't have as fast a refresh rate as usb

But, there are programs that let you up the refresh rate of a ps2 mouse some like 200 hz or sumthin.

In my opinion go with Ps2, save the USB ports for more important things...

What might this program be called or where can I get it?

So y are USB keyboards and mice? I have 6 USB 2.0 ports I'm only using 1 of them, so would it be benefitial to put my keyboard and mouse into a USB port (both keyboard and mouse share 1 USB port)

Refresh rate with both a keyboard or a mouse is really a non-issue. PS2 is fast enough and does save on resources and can help to prevent conflicts on a loaded system.

Id stick to PS2 as it takes up less system resources than USB.

With a keyboard I doubt you'll see any improvement using USB over PS/2. As someone said, I'd use the dedicated PS/2 keyboard plug and keep the generic USB ports free for other stuff.
