Hi,
Im getting extremely low scores in 3d mark for some reason and i dont know why. I used to get 14,000 but then i sent my pc off to have 2xsata 10000rpm raptor drives installed on a raid. Now when i got my pc back i installed all my programs 3d mark included. I then benchmarked to see if i had any increase in performance and lo and behold whats my score?? = 7900. The sata drives are installed via letter E. Now every time i start my pc up i get 5+ error messages which some say: RUNDLL error loa=ding windows\system32\nvcpl.dll others say: 1d4 qttask.exe, no didk in drive\insert into\device\ hard disk 0\dr0 and rsednclient exe. no disk etc. ive tryed changing my bios settings and o/c my cpu but only slight changes not 7000 points worth. ive tryed different gfx drivers v41.80 and 43.45. please has anybody got any idea what these errror messages mean or any way of returning my pc to its former self.

I don't know much about raid or hds.

Maybe it could be a recent program you have installed that is causing the problem.
Have any of your games shown any slow downs?

Very strange....

Mabey the disk isn't formatted well.

What OS have you got?

That kinda "no disk in drive" error mabey sais that the HDDs are not working as well as they should.

What HDD are you running all your software and your OS off? Try using your OS on a different drive.

The RAID system might be taking resources from your motherboard

What type of raid do you have? Ceirtain types are better for certain things

Look at this site http://www.uni-mainz.de/~neuffer/scsi/what_is_raid.html it might help.

Don't do anything because i say do do anything - the chances are that i am wrong. You could try phoning who ever installed this for you and ask exactly what they did and tell them whats gone wrong.

NVCPL.dll is a norton antivirus file i think, it could have been moved or removed but the system.ini or registry still points to it, try reinstalling NAV

nvcpl.dll is an nvidia graphics driver.
qttask.exe is part of quicktime.

Are the SATA drives installed in addition to any other hard drives? Or did the SATA drives replace previous hard drives.
You may find it easier to backup all the needed files you have onto a seperate hard drive or backup media, then reinstall windows.

You may try reinstalling your agp drivers. Possibly when they added the new drives they had to remove some of your existing drivers and reinstall. If it's a via based board (sorry didn't notice) when they installed the new Detonators they may have goofed. Anyway worth a try.
