What if they made a seti client that could use the GPU on your video card? Since todays video cards are getting faster and faster, wouldn't it be a good idea for SETI to take advantage of the GPU speed? Or is it not possible becasue its a graphics chip?

I don't think it would be a good idea for your video card to be blasting away at 100% load all the time, I don't think they are designed with that in mind. :t
