Need to find out who/what owns a IP address

Guys,
I really need to find out who or what ISP has a IP address of 152.163.201.81 I just got a call from my brother and he received a email from a website called "citysearch" and it logged the users ip address when they sent him the email from that website.

There's a whois search there, plus links to other directories of IPs. I believe that particular IP belongs to AOL, but I'm not sure.

Update....You are correct it did come from AOL. We are now contacting the local police to get them involved in this.

the ip relates to spider-tq081.proxy.aol.com
that could mean 2 things..the person that did "wrong" is an aol user or is using a proxy through aol. Do you have a log of what happened? I could easily find out who it is for you if you can send me one...just one of my hobbies

I appriciate your willingness to help. I did find that the IP address is owned by AOL and my brother is now just turning the problem over to the local police.

Okay, Now, although none of our business, I'm curious as to what was sent to your brother. You don't have to tell us, but, if police are involved, kinda gets my curiousity up a bit.

Well I guess I kinda owe it to everyone...Someone (claiming to be my brother) accessed a internet based email system (luckily it logged the IP address of the user accessing the system) and sent a email to several professional business owners that my brother is involved with saying stuff about another business owner thus stirring up trouble. The business owner mentioned in the email(in a bad way) proceeded to inform my brother of impending legal action against him for defemation of chariture and business impropriaties (sorry for my spelling) when he was questioned about the statements made in the email by the other business owners.

We have a very good idea of who did this and both my brother and the other person mentioned in the email are going to take legal action against that person.

This is all my brother will allow me to say at this time....Hope it answered your questions

Few things make me so furious as when fools try to use the Internet as a playing ground for spreading insults and stupidity "under cover". I respect people who say exactly what they mean, but people who say what they mean and try to let others face the consequences of what is said, should learn that the price for that is very high.
