Hi :)

Is it possible to connect my VCR up to my computer, and record videos onto my hard drive? I find it doubtful, but who knows...

Video capture card. If you don't have an ATI All-in-Wonder video card.

Dazzle makes a usb reader to adapt from analog rca inputs to usb into your computer. I use this with my old 8mm camcorder and my vcr and it works great. However it does need a lot of ram. The picture and sound are great and it is very fast for what it does. Even burn it to vcd to play in relatives dvd players for Christmas gifts.
