Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 80 gig with 8meg cache

I was wondering which of these drives would have the best performance as far as speed and access:

Maxtor Diamondmax 7200rpm 60gig drive with 2 megs cache

or

Maxtor Diamondmax 7200rpm 80gig drive with 8 megs cache



I see the 60 gig has lower cache, but it is a smaller drive, so Im not sure if it will perform faster, or if the 80 gig with the 8 megs of cache will be faster?

Any recommendations or actual experience?

I've read around here that the 8MB cache improves performance by 15-20% in most cases. The difference in platter densities probably won't make a great difference in seek time.

you can compare them side by side. the 8mb cache makes a pretty significant difference.
