I upgraded the ram on a friends packard bell and tried to find info on it before hand - what a hassle, a few sites said the name on the front didnt amount to anything because the m/boards could be varied. I think his was a legend 4433. Anyway opened it and found a MSI MS-6159 board and got all the info from manufacturer site. Was a fairly old board considering he hasnt had it long.
The board part number was between the pci slots and hard to see without a torch so if you can find out the neighbours m/bd part number you may have better success along that path. Just an idea.
