I have problems with windows 2000 professional shutdown. Exactly when i go on shutdown after saving the settings and "shutting down" my machine is restarted, and then second time when i shut down it shuts down the machine. I thought that it was because of bad power supply (230W) so i took new case with 300W, but nothing. Someone told me that i update BIOS but i tried many times to do that, even i started system with win98 startup diskette and tried to flash it but there stand like no compatible with your system and so on... So i couldn't flash it on ****ing win2000...
Let me know what's problem of this shutdown/restart thing, and how to flash the BIOS under win2000.

You have to flash from DOS and you have to do it properly. Always enter the full name of the file:

xxxxxx.BIN

I usually rename the file to NEWBIOS.BIN or ROM.

To diagnose the restart:

Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery.

Untick "Automatically restart" and set memory dump to None.

Hopefully, you'll get a blue-screen error with a message next time.

I tried your things but it doesn't work. Still it restarts my machine after going on shutdown. But when it restarts it seems like HDD shutdowns too and in the meantime during restart it wakes up again.

Try setting BIOS to defaults. It may be set to wake up on LAN, modem, keyboard, PS/2 or USB events.
