Hi just bought a pda. Really nice it can replace most of the functions of my laptop, so I will not lug that 5 pound monster to school any more.

However I found some really nice programs for the my pda is a sharp zaurus 5500.

BUT when I installed the program on my pda it will not open.
It says something like this "no appliccation is assigned for this document"

i aslo get a error that says type is octet-stream....what does that mean???

the min reqs for the files says that i should have palm 3 os.
I have a linux based one.

What can I do??

first off, what OS does your PDA have? (ex: Palm, Windows CE)

I had a PDA with PALM OS, and in that a PDB file is a database file that needs a PRC (the actual executable file) to run. So a PDB would be an add on file to the main core file. What are u trying to install?
