Hi guys,
I have question, onthis particular motherboard, whenever I shut the machine down it loses all of the sound settings. It has onboard sound, and I have to reinstall it each time. Does anyon have any Ideas about what may be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Windows version?
It's not the motherboard - it's Windows or an OS config problem. You didn't by chance switch motherboards recently?

I'm Actually asking this for a friend. He recently had a machine built at a computer show, and other than that it works fine. I will check and see what os he is running and update you.
Thanks

Have you downloaded upadted drivers for the sound? Have you installed updated chipset drivers? Does the board have an Intel, VIA, SiS or ALi chipset? Look in System Devices.

VIA AC'97 audio controller ( WMD)

Get new 4in1 drivers here:
http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=2
Get sound drivers and install those after the 4in1 drivers:

Of course, for the VIA chipset sound the 4-in-1 doesn't cut it. You need the "unified sound driver", also from www.viaarena.com
