Why does CuteFTP stops uploading?

Recently I've had many problems with FTP clients like Cute FTP or Dreamweaver's FTP. When uploading files (mostly pictures) to a server, the FTP client stops and I have to close the program with CTRL-ALT-DEL and then open it again. The problem seems to be worse when I am overwriting files on the server. I never had so much trouble before. Is it my server? Is it my connection which is too fast? Is it my computer that is getting slow because of so much files stored in it?
Please help me find a solution or let me know of a better FTP clients

Have you tried re-installing it yet?
If you haven't, I suggest you try it.. I personally never had problems with CuteFTP so if the same things happen again.. try another FTP client and if that happens again. It may have to do something wif your connection or sumfin :)

I have tried reinstalling both CuteFTP and Dreamweaver 4. the problems continues when uploading files with both of these programs.

you could be getting into problems with Binary / Ascii files.

What is your bandwidth limit for uploading? What is your max space you can use - have you exceeded/met this?

I like you question Is it my connection which is too fast? Connections are never too fast.

I have problems with CuteFTP Pro when uploading files too , seems it's fine until it has to resume or overwrite the file then the transfer engine crashes.

darn you, now I'm having trouble with WS FTP Pro, been fine tilll I read this thread :rolleyes:
