Hi.
I've been having problems adding pics to my posts. I know the code, but need to know what hosts support "straight" linking to pics and other files.
I've used angelfire (nope!), yahoo (nope, nope!) and a couple of others I right now can't remember.
So, where can I get a site to host pics and other files for posts and downloading?
Thank You,
By-Tor

Homestead still works. URL is www.homestead.com (http://www.homestead.com) . I have been using it to host my pictures for over half a year. The total time for uploading a picture is about a minute. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks Barney, but the darned page builder won't load! I have ADSL, not sure why, but the little house on the top of the page dances away, but there is not data coming through my connection in the system tray.
Any suggestions?

I hardly use the pagebuilder anymore because it takes quite long to load.
I just login, then I go to "Work On My Website", "Page And File Manager". Under "Imported Files" you can import your pictures. After uploading the picture, the file will appear under "Files". Check the box right from the picture and press the "view" button above it. You get the picture in a new window and you can copy/paste the URL in your post.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the help from all of you. I ended up at family shoebox, and so far, so good. At least now I (and everyone else) can see the pics I add to posts, so I guess I'm moving in the right direction.
Thanks again, and to you too Cygnus (my musical brother!)

Huh Jacob. When I'd try too post a pic from my angelfire page, all you'd be able to see was the little "hosted by angelfire log" and nothing else.
Hmmm, maybe I was doing something wrong there.
In any case, all seems to be good for now, so I'll stay there.
Thanks to everyone.

It seems like everyone here has internet access at home right? Well, I've yet to see internet access that didn't come with some free web space. Surely you're not going to post more than 6mb of pictures right? Just use your web space. That's what I would do if I had some, or wait, I do:
