I recently built two systems... one for my friend and one for my cuz.

The Duron 750 is performs virtually as good as the tbird 1.33 (in games and stuff)

I wanna upgrade my proc (right now i am using the duron 750 (i havent given it to my buddy yet). I am a little tight on cash... (esp with new semester coming and stuff.)

I already have a water cooling setup and i have a Swiftech 3?? with delta fan.

What do u think i should go for? Get a Duron 750 and oc it like mad (not much expensive since i already have the ocing stuff) or should i spend about 4 times the money and go for a tbird 1.33?

i am slightly leaning towards the duron because i have seen it being oced real good and i dont c much diff in perf so far. I am thinking that if i settle with the duron , (and oc it) later when i am not so tight on money and tbird are furthur cheaper i can do an upgrade(if it seems necessary... which i dont think will happen)...

help me out my friends

It seems that there's no question if your tight on cash go for the duron (which overclock very nicely) It's suprising that you don't notice a difference in perfomence though. But thats what matters not numbers.
Good luck

I dont have a 1.3Ghz system to compare my duron 750 with, but in your case it could be that the other hardware in your computer is maxed out with the 750 so you would notice a great increase in performance with a faster processor. Thats the only thing I can think of.

I have the 1.33 GHz @ 1.5 GHz and I've compared BMs vs Duron and there is a difference... But you wrote you didn't see much difference:

The Duron 750 is performs virtually as good as the tbird 1.33 (in games and stuff)

So, if you're satisfied and you've got the oc'ing necessities, save some money. FYI: I purchased a 1.3 GHz T-Bird one month after buying a 1.2 GHz T-Bird and the 1.33 GHz was $100 cheaper... prices had fallen. It may behoove you to wait.
