Whats the sense ?. If he's broke there won't be much in the account anyway.

P.S. If your going to panhandle at least do so in the community forum.
More than likely it'll end up becoming a verbotten topic of conversation and we won't get anymore cyber beggars here.

Actually if I were rich, i'd be doing even MORE tweaking. Simply becuase its a fun hobbie, and if I were to break something, I would be able to easily get it replaced. Thats just me though.

I earn $1500 Singapore dollars per month. And I support my parents now. I live in a small 3-room flat unit. Am I rich or poor in your country's standard.

I don't have a car. I take public transports.

let me guess....for singapore standards that must be somewhere slightly tilted towards rich but definitely in middle.

it depends actually...on lot of stuff....like what r your monthly expenses on other stuff like tel charges...electricity,then milk...eek?....etc etc.

i sound boring, na?

Well! I paid for my cable vision and modem each month. I also give 400 bucks to my mum each month and 100 bucks to my dad. I also have to pay for my handphone bill which is around $30 to $40 Sing dollars per month. The government also deducted 20% of my pay to put inside the CPF account. Don't talk about public transport fares. I don't know how much. I lost count.

I think you can calculate yourself and see how much I have left for savings.

Have you been to Singapore? We have a GST of 4%. Can you believe that??

Oh really.... Then you must be in Australia.

I've been living here for 6 years now and I finally figured out the "real reason" why Australia is banning guns. To keep Aussies from shooting themselves come Tax Time. :x :D

believe it or not getting a new computer is not the best thing that could happen in your life. sure it might make you happy for a while but then youll want to upgrade a year and a half later. and then what? beg for more money?

im in a similar situation...but im making it work through working and sacrifice. Im about to ship off to school in a few months and have been wanting a new computer to upgrade to from my 1ghz 512mb desktop. Specificly i want to get a laptop. Ive sold my keyboard (musical one for you comedic geniuses out there) and worked and saved up for whatever.

well im not rich and the laptop i want is 1500 dollars and now im selling my expensive monitor speakers(350 a pop) to get it. i might still be short even after that. but ill sell my sound card (500 bucks) and get another cheaper one if i have to.

if you really want something dont beg, work.

So Australia banned the ownership of guns?? Oh! Same in Singapore. Our policemen seldom use their revolvers because we don't have serious crimes.

:)

Well! GST is really sucking us dry, man!

I heard the US citizens have to pay insurance companies for their medical needs. Am I correct? In Singapore, we buy insurance policies for old age and investment purposes. Our medical needs are taken care of by the CPF. I think it's called the Central Provident Fund. Actually, I've been living here for twenty-plus years but I still don't know the 'Provident' means. (Shame) Well! Next year, the GST will increase to 5% and our people will suffer again if economic recession is not over yet.

never been to Singapore,Cbh. but my dad often visits your country. He has his usual business ways. All i know about Singapore is that you guys have a real hassle free kinda lifestyle.

And also most of the software sold around the world are dead cheap at Singapore....like dad bought me a NT4.0 workstation from there...though the duty paid was slightly high since he had to show it at the customs...but overall its quite good.

Switzerland is some place where the software prices are quiet high...
