Hey ppl..
K basically I've been given the task of figuring out how to work this digicam we've just bought. Now after a few hours it is refusing to stay on. It is a:
Konica
Digital REvio KD220Z
When switched on I hear a beep and it just turns itself off again. Now as far as I can tell there is nothing obviously wrong, the batteries have been swapped in case that was it, but with no luck. I know this is a long shot, but what the hell, maybe some1 out there knows!!

Have you read the manuel? It may have an auto off feature to save the batteries, most do, mine does. If I don't do something with it in say, 15 seconds, it shuts off the display, if I wait 2 minutes it will completely power down. Also, if my batteries are low, it will either not power on at all or power on, then off right away. Normal alkalines don't last long in digital cams, they eat them fast. I use NiMH rechargables in mine, they last quite a long time, and of course are rechargable, I keep one set in the cam and the other charged and ready.

I have a problem with rechargable batteries.
They last for about 2 sec's.

the batteries need to be strong enough to power most digital cameras.
I can use my batteries until they are no longer good for the camera, but can still put them in my clocks or in anything that requires a AA battery but not a great amount of ma

What kind of batteries are you using? Does your manuel suggest any type of rechargables?
Mine will eat regular or long life alkalines in 30 pics or less, depending on whether I use the flash, my Nihm ( Nickel Metal hydride) rechargables will go 300 or so. figure 10 sets of 4 regulars at $6 or so,, that's $60 bucks, I've paid for the rechargables, charger and extra batteries in 2 uses of the the charger. Not bad. I tend to take alot of pics too!!!! These type last longer than NiCads too, which aren't recommended for my cam.
When I'm using the cam in the house, or downloading the pics, etc, I have an AC adapter too, this helps keep from using the batteries up in a hurry:D

im usin nihm rechargables and they've done the trick. Cam can last ages now.. standards get eaten up in a few hours, probly less.
