Here's the site with the MoBo that I'm thinking of getting. Tell me what you think of it. I will probabaly use it for gaming. Is it worth buying? Will it work well?

Not too shabby. tho i would look around for reviews. Discount Boards= Lower Quality.

try Google (http://www.google.com) to look for reviews.

Since it uses common VIA KT133A+686B, shouldn't be difference in performance/stability vs. other similar boards. Never used it, as Voogru said, look for reviews, but I'd say no problems would be with this one.

Did you take a look at the new Abit KT7E? I found listings for it on pricewatch of under $90. www.hardocp (http://www.hardocp) gives it good ratings. I see the board that you are looking at has sound on it. The boards seem to have very comparable features, but if I was building a gaming system, I would want to add my own sound card. I do know Abits quality and oc'ability are at the very top of the list. But in the end, it all comes down to what you like...steve

DON'T get that board it looks realy crummy to me. if u want a board in that price range go to www.newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com) and u can get the EPoX 8KTA2 for $80 and $5 for shipping it is a very good board also! It has onboard sound but u can easily disable it in the bios.

I wouldn't recommend getting an Epox.

The Abit KT7-E is a great deal. I have the KT7-RAID and for so far I'm very happy about it http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif . The KT7-E is basically a KT7 with a black PCB that for some reason is able to run at 133MHz. It's even cheaper than the KT7/KT7-A.

Barney can u explain why you wouldn't recommend an Epox?

The 8KTA and 8KTA2 were so-so to bad
THe 8KTA3 and 8KTA3+ are excellent. They are very similar in layout to the Abit KT7 and KT7A, except that its got more stuff, and is probably cheaper since its a lower brand name. Of course the KT7E is even cheaper than the 8KTA3, and they are essentially the same, except the KT7E has the Via KT133E northbridge and is a cool blue color, and the 8KTA3 has the KT133A northbridge.
The KT133A is higher speced, but its been proven that they perform the same for the most part.
