I opened my case today just to enjoy how wonderfully "blue" it is inside. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
It is a 35 degrees celsius sunny day, and when I left out for lunch, I forgot to close the case, and sunshine shone right on to the internal parts of my computer. When I turned it on when I went back home, I noticed the system temprature went up to 45 degrius celsius and CPU temprature to 60 degrees celsius.

The question is, would this cause major damage? I'm getting pretty scared it will right here. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Well, direct sunlight is usually not good for most anything (except plants), but I'm sure no damage was done. Now if you had it exposed to direct sunlight combined with being in an enclosed space, like in a shut up car, then the temperatures of the exposed components could easily get to the point of causing damage. But in an open air enviorment, like on a desk in your house or whatever, then I wouldn't give it another thought.

Out is right .. If I remeber correctly 60 degrees C is not that hot for a system to run. Am I right .. or just thinking of something else?

Next time just close the blinds, or put the case back on.
