I've installed Connectix Virtual PC 5.2 last night and I tried installing Red Hat Linux 8.0. I chose the Custom installation and installed most of the packages except the development and workstations packages. The installation took quite a while and after installing it succesfully, it rebooted and I ended up in a login screen where I'm suppose to enter my localhost login and password. I entered the username and password the one which I've made during installation and it just ends there, with something (localhost@ in the front). I'm suppose to reach an interface screen where I do the post-installation setup right? How do I get there?

Oh, and one more thing, what should I put for my monitor setup if the manufacturer's particular model is not listed? Mine's an LG Studioworks E700S. Same goes to the graphic card, do I select GeForce4 (Generic) or Geforce4 DDR? Mine's a GeForce4 MX440 SE.

System Specifications:

P4 2.53Ghz
512MB DDR266 SDRAM
GeForce4 MX440 SE
Windows XP Professional with SP1
40GB Seagate Barracuda (7200rpm)

I'm not sure how virtual PC works. I installed RedHat on a box by itself and it went straight into a GUI logon screen, then into Gnome X-windows. You might try something like "startx" at the prompt after you login. I'm not a big linux guy, just tinkering with it a little bit. As for your video driver, Here (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=linux_display_ia32_1.0-4349) is the link to Nvidia's linux drivers. Hope that helps a little.
