I don't really know much about computer hardware, but I find info here and there. I tried to jot down the most important info in a Mind Map, and for your amusement I put it on the web here: http://www.uib.no/People/sinia/mm/Hardware.htm .
Keep in mind that this is just an initial map I created to "gather my thoughts". If you like this idea, it is possible to make each "branch" clickable so that a description of the concept pops up in a separate window. Could be an interesting project someday.
