You might also look into Ulead's Photoimpact 4.2 it has great photoediting and a easy to use photo album. get it at www.ulead.com/pi/runme.htm (http://www.ulead.com/pi/runme.htm) or search for it at www.download.com (http://www.download.com)

We just had a baby girl, and I want to save the photos on a cd, and not just as plain bitmaps. I'd like some kind of program which lets you brouse the photos as you would in a photo album.. Thanks for any suggestions, and you've all been great here!

A great image file viewer is VuePrint. I've had it for years now (several upgrades) & still beats everthing else I've seen. Only shareware program I've ever kept & paid for.
Free upgrades for life after purchase & price has never changed.

I could try to describe it, but best to see for yourself. Suffice to say this will do EXACTLY what you asked for, in several ways, plus more. Full version is available as free download, but they mean it about the 15 day trial - after that prog. will not function.
