It started on March 19th. Since April last year with this new computer, XP Home, SP 1800, Gigabyte 7VRXP MoBo, 40GB 7200rpm HD, GF3 Ti200 vid, Audigy X-Gamer sound, I've used Tools>Windows Update to install Critical Updates. Then March 19th I get an icon in the lower RH task bar and a pop up stating Automatic Update has detected new updates. On March 9th I updated Windows Media Player to version 9, but I didn't start getting the automatic update pop up deal untill Mar 19th, then again March 26th. I wonder what started this to happen? I don't mind because I still go to Tools>Windows Update to check/verify, then use the automatic update. TIA.
