C&C Gerals help!!!!!

I played Generals on an older AMD Duron 950mhz system with a geeforce2 TI 64mb card and some generic off the wall motherboard and windows XP. The game ran just fine with a little bit of slow down and the ocasional lock up. I have just recently upgraded to a AMD Athlon XP 2000+ with an Nvidia Nforce2 motherboard and a Nvidia Ti 4200 128 mb graphics card (the card and the motherboard are made by MSI) and the game seems to load fine but then i get kicked out with a message saying that a serious error occured with a title of "technical difficulties." I have the latest drivers for the card and motherboard and some extra cooling on the inside of my case so I'm pretty sure its not heat related although my CPU runs at about 116 F. (not sure if thats normal or not). Anyway if someone has the same problem or thinks they could help me out that would be great.

If no one here can help you, I would put your problem to the alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.msi-microstar newsgroup. The members there might have a better idea of the cause.

Have you checked to see if there are any updates for the game at the game site? I love playing this game in brutal.
