ZoneAlarm has reported to me that 2547 intrusions have been blocked, and that 2547 have all been rated critical. This is only after about 2-3weeks of having DSL+ZA. My friend who has had DSL for a year or so now has only had like 133 blocked intrusians, and even less rated critical.

Is there a way i can get more info on what its blocked, and if its blocking something that taking advantage of a seceruity hazard, how to fix it?

P.S. I run AVG virus scanner and ad-aware/spybot (all up to date before every run)several times a week. And i have IE6 SP1. What other updates can i do?

I just d/l 13.7mb worth of secruity updates through the Windows Update utility.

I think the number of intrusions is just luck of the draw, you got hit and your friend did not.

However, you might want to got to www.grc.com and do the tests.
you can also goto www.symantic.com and run a security check.
Consider a hardware firewall to go with ZA. as far as more info on intrusions you could look for a prog called "zonelog analyzer"
There are also tracing progs you can get. can't remember any names right now.

My opinion is that you should just setup firewall(s) to work well and just ignore the intrusion attempts, cause there's nothing you can do to keep people from trying to get in and it will make you crazy :r if you spend a lot of time trying to trackdown intruders - know this from experience :D
