strange mouse problem, kind of funny but urgent

i have a strange problem, when i click with my mouse, once, it double clicks about half the time. is this a virus or a driver problem or something else? it is a new mouse, about 3 weeks old

First thing is to try reducing your double-click sensitivity thru Control Panel/ Mouse.

i did that shortly after the problem started, it only helped a little

edit, changed "proglrma " to "problem" must have been tired

try a diff mouse the spring in your clocker might be gone
