Anyone using this case? I am looking for an auxillary fan for the back of the case, and am having a hard time locating one that I am sure will screw in. I ordered a fan when I purchased the case, but it does not screw in with the hardware supplied.

Good case, jsut wanted to keep my 1.2 ghz amd a little cooler.

It's made to fit a standard 80mm fan, but the holes may be a tad small in diameter for the screws that come with some fans. I had to drill the holes out a tiny bit on mine.

Actually, the 7237 comes with black pushpins to install the back fan with
Its a spot for a standard 80mm fan (Ive installed 3 Enlight 7237 systems with full fans).

The first one I installed with run of the mill case fan screws, since I didnt know about the pushpins. It was slightly hard to screw in, but I got all 4 forced in.
The pushpins are highly recommend http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif.

The pushpins did not work well for me, they kept falling out. I did install all four. Perhaps my fan holes were cut too large, I don't know. I used a couple of zip ties though to solve that problem.

Thanks for the insight. I have three options now.

I don't think I got the black pushpins. The ones that I have look like motherboard stands, and don't really fit that well in the case for the fan. Not sure.....

I have that case too and the black "push-pins" came with the case. And yes, they are specifcally designed to be used with an 80mm case fan (as I've done what you're intending http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif ) I suppose the method of affixing the fan shouldn't really be relevant, just make sure it's snug http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

I have the case and I just picked up some random screws at a hardware store with a set of nuts. Just make sure they fit through the holes and you'll be fine using what ever screws you wish.

I just used the screws that came with my aux. fan, but since you obviously didn't buy one that had them supplied, make sure you get a regualr, standard, 80mm fan, then find some good little screws at the hardware store, and fit them in there, remember that bigger is ussualy better in this case. You can make the hole bigger, but not smaller, with ease anyway. I didn;'t have any trouble with my screws, there are meant to be touhg to get in there, it takes some work to fit them in, the fan needs to be good and snug.

I remember having to lean the case up against the wall and pushing while using the screwdriver, forcing them in. (for the screws)

I dont think they can come out anymore...

However the pushpins were simple. They are 2 part. You put the outside in the case holes thru the fan holes, and then push the inside part into it so that the bottom expands and it cant come out.

Edited for clarity

I didn't have any problems getting the pushpins in at all. As an added bonus the fan seems secure. I am a wimp and would have noticed a struggle with them. Maybe the holes are goofed up. We have a fastener Mfg division so I never have to worry about screws. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

How do you get the pins in. Start from the inside or outside? Do the pins look like motherboard stands? I can't seem to get them to fit.

Heres how you do it
Theres two parts to it: the actual Pin part and the cylindrical part.

From the outside, you put in the cylindrical part thru a hole in the case, and then thru the fan on the inside. Then you take the pin part, and from the outside, push it thru the hole until it goes as far in as it can go. This will expand the inside of the cylindrical part, and cause the case fan to not be able to come out.
Repeat 4 times.

That could not have been easier! I have never used those pins. I did not realize they actually pushed in and expanded. Thanx a bunch for the clearer than day explanation!
