hello, few questions i'll keep them simple.

currently i have a gf3ti 200 128 vid card. i'm looking to sell it and get a new video card. since nvida has fallen now, unless you got 800$ for a card i'm goign to support my canadian fellows with a ati product i belive :D

anyways sorry i said simple. i'm stuck now i dont know weatehr to get a 9500pro now, or wait for the new 9600 pro, or for the 9700 pro to come way down in price when the 9800pro is released :\

so help me out here, my fps games are fine is my new mmopg game i need this for ahurons call 2 its a heavey grafics game, and the rest of my comp is good...

gigabyte kt400 board with raid,
7200 rpm drive
1700xp@2.01Mhz (12.5x166) (temps 33-37load/29-31load)
512 ddr 333

so need to know what you think is the best buy, and if i were to wait for a 9600pro.... how long before it makes its way to canada?

thanks for the time :D

oh yeah i'm looking to spend around 300-400 and like i said i can wait a month or two with the card i have,

err did some reading and came accross this for the 9600 witch worries me

"The number of pixel pipelines has been reduced from eight to four, and the vertex shader units have also seen a cut, from four to only two."

is that a big hit against the card???

any info is great guys :)

R9600/Pro is not worth waiting for.
Get R9500Pro now or R9700/Pro later when newer GPUs are out.

the R9500 is prolly the best card for the here and nmow, of course you could wait for the R9700 to drop in price

Guys

When are these new ATI chips & cards coming on the market....cos we ALL want to buy a 9700pro but dont want to pay nealy £300 for them. The 9700 cards should drop in price....but when..?

Let the price war start now...!
