Went from the 40.72 to the 43.45 and only saw a bump from 13,390 up to 13,423 in 3Dmark 2001se.
I used NFR (nasty file remover) after doing the un-install from control panel of the 40.72 drivers to make sure nothing was left behind.
This on an MSI N2 board with a Ti4200 8x and an XP2600+.
All in all not really a big performance gain. Me thinks this new driver is more for the FX series being sold now. Oh well, time to build another. LOL

Oooh, few more tweaks here and there and it's at 13,729. I actually saw 336 fps in dragothic, and 303 in the lobby.

Installed these drivers last night to see if I would get any sort of performance boost. When I try to access through Diplay Properties>Settings>Advanced>GF4 Ti4200 to change the setup I get a .dll error and the diplay properties wipes out.....weird.
I have gone back to 41.09 driver and this is working fine. Anyone else had this problem...?

Cheers

when i went from 41.09 det's to these new 43.45 dets, i got an increase of about 1800 marks in 3dmark2001se and about 300 marks in 3dmark03. i thought i was losing my mind but i reinstalled the drivers like 5 times and keep getting the same results, a huge increase in speed. maybe i'm an anamoly? i have no idea. all this on a geforce3 ti500 and an athlonxp 1800+ @ 1750MHz. i'll give the links to the scores so you can see for yourself.

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=6162209 - the 41.09 test

i also thought that maybe nvidia had done the old "sacrifice quality for speed" thing and i haven't noticed any difference in terms of quality in games like RTCW and Q3A. anyone know what's up?

RUnning what spec and setting, 300+ FPS seems very high indeed :x

Running the 2600 at 180 fsb and mem at the same while running in dual mode. Vid Card is clocked at 275Mhz core clock and 594Hhz memory clock. The nice thing is the actual core temp of the cpu is running at about 48c while under load and the ambient cpu temp stays at about 35c. And I'm getting zero artifacts while benching or playing UT2003. The Nforce2 has impressed me much. which is a definate retraction of what I said before.

Im running my gf4 ti4200 at similar clocks, only think is i aint fiddled with the XP2400+, its possible to get em up to 2400Mhz+, but i dont wanna chew about too much with voltages, i think i'll o/c once i get a better PSU for all my case fans :x

Actually I yanked my two stealth fans as they werent so stealthy and replaced them with two panaflo's which are far more quieter and left the two cheiftec fans on the rear for exhaust with the volcano7+ cu on mid speed and the noise, or should I say lack of noise is quite civilized. I'm running my usual PSU which is an Antec 430w true power. I have a few as whenever I see them on sale I snap up one or two at a time for builds.

ND always brings the best dough :t  :D

Seems like everything works pretty smooth here as well, for two days straight Toca Race Driver pumps up 40+ fps @1024 everything maxed out on 1GHz TBird/GF3Ti200 :r

Do you guys think that these new drivers will increase performance in an old GF 2 mx 400?
I still use old drivers (I think I'm currently running with the 32.80 or something -- pretty good and stable! ;)).

So I guess I'll better stay with the ones I'm using then! They have been very good to me.! ;)

BTW, I'm impatiently waiting for the new Radeon series (9800 and 9600) cause I'm going to get a 9700 at a better price.!! Wooohoooo!! Hell Yeah!! ;)
