Hello folks,
I need your big help. I am currently finished a web site (using FrontPage 2000) and hosting on a Win2k Pro PC with IIS5.0.
If I want to implement and add the search engine features into my current site and let the users to use the search engine and type in the keyword and search for relevant page, may I know what kind of off the shelf software I need to get, in order to do the job effectively without have to go through some programming stuff.
Please kindly advise ASAP.
many thanks for your help in advance.

I don't know of any off the shelf software but you can find an ASP script that is already written for you that would probably work. Try typing asp in google and I am sure you can find one. I may be wrong but I think that front page can also create one for you, but again I am probably wrong. Hope this was some help, Don.:t
Yes, FP can do a search page for you. I am not sure if it is included in FP 2k because I have FP2k2. Well, anyway just go up to the little icon that looks like a little page which creates a new page. Don't click on that. Click on the arrow beside it. Then on the drop down menu click on new page and select search page. Then just configure it like it tells you to. That should do the trick.:t
BTW, make sure you have Front Page Server Extensions installed with IIS. If you don't just search for "Front Page Server Extensions MSDN" on google and click on the search that shows up for MSDN because that is where you can download the installer for the FP Server Extensions.

javascript.internet.com and get one of their search scripts. Needs a little tweaking but it will be much better than FP's
