Hi,

In Windows NT4.0 SP6, Is there a way to view when users logged on other such info. I know how to look and see what resources users are using. But I think there is a way to view all users who are logged on not just those who are using network resources. Any help is very much appreciated.

Yup like nilknarf said...youll need to audit success/fail logon attempts.

Also check the settings under "Log"

In Event Viewer you can use the
view> Filter events>
Source=security
Catagory=logon/logoff

Is this what you meant?

HdWolf,

I think that sounds what I need, but in my event viewer all the events under security are gone. All the ones for App and Sys are there and the settings under Log Settings look the same. But the Sec events are not there? ANy ideas?

You will need to set up audit policies in order to track such info. This is done in the User Manager.
