Whats the difference between sound blaster LIVE VALUE and LIVE 5.1? :confused:

Other than about double the price, very little....they actually use the same sound chip on both. The retail version has software and a few extra features, but the actual performance is the same.

I'm using SoundBlaster Live 'Value' now and it's great. The card does not possess a digital output so it's a 'Value' item. That's what the computer store assistant told me last time. The original card has a digital output socket and the card is quite expensive than the 'Value' one.

Currently, Creative is coming out Audigy and I think it'll be a hit in the computer sound market.

I found this site. Do this site shows this differences? Cause I see a Sound Blaster Live! but, I dont know if this is a "5.1" !!

Hi

There is no difference between SBLive Value and Live 5.1 as
far as I know. SBLive Value does not come with all the packaged goodies that are bundled with Live 5.1.

I hear you can get an audigy for $50 as a white box or oem, which sounds good to me if true.
