Zealous 05-23-2001, 07:29 PM adaptec 29160n and no hd yet just use it for my yamaha Savant 05-23-2001, 08:47 PM got onboard adaptec 7880 with 2x4.5GB seagate barracuda drives (ultra2 SCSI wide, 7200rpm, 7.4ms seek) and a 12plex CD on server, price unknown $400 for the machine. adaptec 2940u on mine with scanner and 12plex CD and on the other server a JazJet PCI with a 12plex CD got a pretty good price on the plextor CDs and they're fast and REALLY reliable. got 3 for about $50 total they bench about equal to the 24x IDE on Sandra for whatever thats worth [This message has been edited by Savant (edited 05-24-2001).] Target 05-23-2001, 09:04 PM Adaptec(s). Still waiting for price to drop on coveted SCSI hard disks, but with the remarkable cost/performance of current ATA-100 disks it is not likely that I will purchase another SCSI hard disk in the near future.
