I bought a Saitek Cyborg 3D Gold joystick. For use on Flight Sim. It had a really nice feel and looked good. However after 4 months it suddenly failed. The Twist for rudder control and POV hat didn't work I took it back to Radio Shack. No problem, they gave me another. The second one failed just after another few months. No problem again at Radio Shack. (They told me at Radio Shack that they won't carry them any more). There is a problem with this product.
I went on to Saitek's forum and was surprised to see that there were others with the same failures as I had. I wrote a private Email to a technician on the forum. He responded that there were so few failures. it wasn't a problem, but they were bringing out a new one to overcome this. Crappy quality control or engineering and no recalls.
Personally, I will avoid Saitek products in future. By the way, the Saitek forum uses the same format as this one. John

I must have gone through at least 15 joysticks over the years, and I still am amazed how poorly made some are. I have a MS sidewinder now, and it's lasted longer and performed better than all the rest.

Heh, every forum I've ever been to has used this format!
