My second computer is an old one. My mobo says it's expandable to celeron 500 PGA 370. I am using PIII 550 compermine in this board using an adapter. It adapts Socket 370 motherboards made for PPGA processors for use with FC-PGA (Coppermine) processors. It works fine, however, My core voltage is not regulated automatically and Sandra says its above rated maximum. My board temps show 23C or 80F. Is thsi dangerous to the processor or mobo?

The adapter you're using should have a voltage adjustment jumper on it.

If not, it should be fine anyway. Many people boost their core voltage for stability. Besides, I don't trust Sandra.

Thanks Bi Polar, I had the impreesion that Sandra was a very accurate program. I will recheck the jumpers on the adapter to ensure proper settings. Thanks again
