dam thing said all my MD are protected (as in cant record music)
so i figured there must be some pin which gets pushed to see if a MD has been protected or not (same as floppy).
so i opened it. fiddled a bit, found the push pin. pushed it hard (looked loose on circuit board) reconnected everything and now it works.
see people. dont wast $$ or ££ when you can propably use ur comon sense and the old smack push hard method. always works for me
