Correct me if I am wrong but, double density memory is when you have memory chips on both sides of the PCB and low density is when you have memory chips on one side of the PCB.
Is this correct?

Crucial, division of Micron, has two resources ~ FAQ Center (http://support.crucial.com/scripts/crucial.exe/faq) and the Library (http://www.crucial.com/library/) .

They can explain it best.
