UK military operations against Saddam's regime in Iraq are being conducted under the name of Operation Telic.
On 23 March, the RAF stated that there was evidence to suspect that an RAF aircraft, which was returning from an operational mission, may have been engaged by a US operated Patriot missile battery near the Kuwaiti border. The crew of the aircraft are missing. Further information will be forthcoming when it is available.
Families Casualty Helplines
The three Services have established casualty helpline numbers for concerned relatives. They are as follows:
Royal Navy and Royal Marines: 08457 414 544
Army: 01980 615 500
Royal Air Force: 01452 712 612 ext 7080 or 7325
These numbers are for concerned relatives only and not for general or media enquiries.
