G'day all.

Can I use VB to code Linux programs? Or is it just for Windows and MS stuff? If not, what would be best, its for a college project and the teacher thinks that Kylix is a good method, although this means nothing to me. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Ta muchly,

G

Yup, it's for Windows.

I've never heard of Kylix, but I'm no kind of serious Linux programmer. For the little bit that I've done, I've just used GVIM text editor and set it for syntax highlighting. EMACS is popular too.

For a lindows machine, I would think yes. Is it the best way to program for linux, NO.

C or java, would be better.
