Scanner and Zip

I would like to have both my scanner and Zip drive connected at the same time, but every way I try to daisy chain them I get the message that my scanner driver can't be found or that my
zip drive cannot be found. Can this be done?

I run a USB scanner and USB Zip off the same USB hub... No problems with that.

If these are parallel devices usually you can't daisy chain a scanner and zip you can only daisey chain a scanner and a printer.
