Avor 03-20-2003, 12:01 PM Dedicated servers are more for games like Half-Life(Counter-Strike), Battlefield 1942 etc. They run faster because they save resources and CPU time by not running the game itself.. you just get a little black DOS like box. StarCraft doesn't have a dedicated server option. Just when your all hooked up by lan, go into "Multiplayer" then "Local Area Network" and create a game there, have others join. StarCraft doesn't need much RAM or CPU at all anyways, so even if there were an option it would just save you the time of recreating a host per game.
