Looking for film scanner info

Hi, Does anyone owne a Dell inspiron 8200 laptop with a film scanner hooked to it. I would appreciate feedback on hookup, problems, brands, and performance. I have the 8200, would like to know about film scanners in use. :t

I have a scanner that is USB that works with the Dell Inspiron 7000. We also use a Cardbus SCSI Adapter on some of our other laptops. Originally the SCSI Card was on a Dell Latitude D266. The scanners have not malfunctioned for us. Dell laptops are all we use in our business environment. They seem to work very well. Sorry I do not have the exact model you are talking about.

We have had no problems with the scanners we hook up. Windows XP even installed mine automatically. We use all Windows 2000 PC's. Before we had 95, 98, and NT 4. We switched to all 2000 around 1 1/2 years ago.

rraehal, thank you for the reply. Is that Nikon scanners you are using? :)

We are using an Acer Prisa 620s SCSI and an Umax 2100U USB. With the Acer we had to download the latest software and install it to make the Scanner work with Windows 2000 and with the Umax we had to get new sopftware and an update to work with 2000. We are not using Nikon scanners.
